OUR DESIGN PROCESS
Your website or app should not only look fantastic, it should also be easy to use and make it easy to find what is relevant to your visitors.
The design will be best if you start with the most valuable thing you have: your content. That’s why we start the design process from within and work our way out: from content to visual design.
Our Process Has Three Stages:
Insight and analysis
Content strategy and interaction design
INSIGHT AND ANALYSIS
The design process begins with knowing who we are designing for and what we want them to do.
What are the organization’s digital goals?
Who are the users, partners and competitors?
How are today’s communication channels used?
With specific measurement criteria, we now set up tracking of existing websites to provide the necessary insight on how well they are being met today. This gives us a good basis for comparisons for further work.
This includes, for example, feedback forms, Google Analytics goal layouts and email user surveys, a continuously updated key figures (KPI) dashboard, and a list of recommended actions.
Together we go through today’s design profile and Digital Marketing guidelines. Furthermore, we look at actual examples to see to what extent the design profile is adhered to, and how the material appears today.
We then review their existing site to clarify which items should be improved.

The Core Model
The core model is a methodology for content-driven design where the goal is to make the site as user-friendly as possible.
The core model allows us to solve the most common issues from a user perspective, such as the user not finding what he / she is looking for, or landing pages filled with irrelevant elements that create frustration
The core model allows us to develop content that is:
Appropriate: The content is right for both the organization and the user
Helpful: The purpose of each page is clear
User-centered: Think like the end user
Required: Delete unnecessary content!
Wireframes are used to prioritize order, layout and content for different elements on different page templates.
As a rule, we make first line sketches for mobile, to focus on the site’s top tasks.
We usually create one thread sketch per page template, or sometimes several, to take into account different types of content.
For each wireframe, we also consider who should provide content for the page, and who should maintain it and what role the page has in the organization’s digital strategy.
In content development, the customer’s professional knowledge is worth gold, and usually the customer who does most of the content development, for example writing texts. BlazeDream sets the framework, helps with tools and quality assures the work. Some key elements of the content work are:
Keywords: Simplicity, legibility, scannability.
Format: Correct choice of text, illustrations or video.
Focus: Could this text be aimed at one target group, and thus be shorter and more precise?
Structure and categorization: Logical and intuitive organization of the content.
A page structure in a visual hierarchy provides useful overview of different types of content on the website.
The sitemap is then reflected in breadcrumbs, menu and other navigation elements. It is also useful internally within the organization to clarify responsibilities for various parts of the content.
Style Plans and Visual Design Suggestions
How should websites reflect the organization’s values and image?
Together we agree on a style expression by putting together style plans with inspiration. This forms a starting point for holistic design proposals that show different visual direction choices.
Page Templates, Blocks and Design System
The site consists of different types of pages, but also different types of reusable blocks. Once the website design direction is set, we design these and prepare them for a page builder in CMS.
A design system or style guide is a web design profile. It is clickable, responsive and displays all the key design elements.
HTML and CSS are compiled “mobile first” with breakpoints from the smallest screen widths and infinitely up to tablets, and on to desktop full-width. The result is a 100% responsive solution that has been thoroughly tested on all screen widths.
The CMS automatically adjusts the image file size to different contexts, based on screen width, among other things. Frontend is tested on 20 different browsers on PC, Mac, Android, iOS and Windows mobile.
