Content Managed Website

A content management system (CMS) is a collection of procedures used to manage, control and publish content to their websites. It allows multiple authors to maintain the website using a simple web browser based interface (instead of manual authoring web pages). The procedures may be manual or computer based which allows:

  • Large number of authors to contribute and share stored data
  • Restrict user access of data, based upon their roles. The user role defines what information is to be viewed or edited.
  • Aid in easy storage and retrieval of data
  • Reduce duplicated contents.

It is frequently used to store, control, revise, enrich, and publish documentation.

Database Driven

Only thing, the author has to just login and start updating of content for the websites. CMS incorporates a work flow engine and facilitate the collaborative efforts of the user in creating, editing and approving the content before it gets published.

Website Management Panel
It not only provides the ability to add, manipulate and approve the content, but also allows the user to add modules like polls, banners, forums, shopping applications, menus and news management. In backend administration panel, the author will have restricted permission access which prevents accessing of non authorized pages.

Schedule Content Updates
Updating the contents on CMS can be scheduled to the dates on which it should be published. The publications can be time controlled and hidden for future submission with coordination of multiple authors. The content will be saved as draft and will be published as per the schedule.

HTML Knowledge Not Required
